Eric is a 1998 graduate of Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts, where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Specialized Technology / Graphic Design. After graduating, he built a diverse creative career working in screen printing, technical illustration, specialty design, advertising, newspaper design, and photography.

In 2006, Eric received a First Place Award from the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association for a special project, recognizing his excellence in visual communication and design.

He began tattooing in 2010 and started working at Absolutely Skin Images, Hanover’s original tattoo studio, where he spent eight years refining and expanding his craft. During his time there, Eric unintentionally became a world-famous tattoo artist in 2014 after accidentally creating “Potato Maynard,” a tattoo that went viral online on Wikipedia, Reddit, and inspired its own fan club.

Eric later worked at GypsySkull Tattoo for six years, continuing to expand his style, technical skill, and artistic voice. In September 2025, he opened Sacred Heart Tattoo, bringing decades of design experience and a lifelong dedication to art into his own studio.
